Tuck School of Business

Tuck School of Business, located in Hanover, New Hampshire, is the graduate business school of Dartmouth College and one of the United States’ six Ivy League business schools. It offers one graduate program, the Master of Business Administration (MBA), consistently ranked among the top 10 in the U.S. The MBA program is popular in management consulting, finance, and the technology sector.

The school was founded in 1900 by William Jewett Tucker and Edward Tuck, who donated $300,000 to endow the Amos Tuck School of Administration and Finance, named after Tuck’s father. Today, it is known as the Tuck School of Business or simply "Tuck."

Unlike other business schools that offer multiple programs, Tuck focuses solely on its MBA program, providing a broad range of general management skills known as the "Tuck Pattern."

In 2021, the MBA cohort consisted of around 300 students, with 49% female, 32% minorities, and 37% international students. The school has over 50 full-time faculty members and research centers dedicated to healthcare, entrepreneurship, private equity, and venture capital.

BusinessWeek and Forbes have recognized Tuck’s MBA program as one of the best in the world. Admission is highly competitive, with less than 300 students accepted out of over 2,000 applicants. Graduates from the MBA program in 2019 had an average starting salary of $140,000 and received job offers within three months of graduation. Popular industries for Tuck graduates include management consulting, finance, and technology, employing over 80% of the 2019 cohort.
